“Vampire Diaries” fans eagerly awaited the return of the show, which also happened to be the series’ 100th episode, and they weren’t disappointed.
On Thursday night, “The Vampire Diaries” was back with its 100th episode. There were a few laughs, some sad moments, a steamy sex scene, and our favorite characters came back.
Katherine’s on her death bed
As Damon and Elena are still getting over their break up, (Do we think this is going to last?) the group finds out that Katherine is on her death bed.
In Mystic Falls style the gang gathers to celebrate the demise of Katherine, who’s been nothing but trouble to them all, and take a few shots.
However, Katherine’s daughter has a plan of her own.
Nadia kidnaps Matt and refuses to give his location until someone helps
her carry out a plan to save Katherine.
Nadia takes Stefan and Elena to a creepy old house
where a bunch of travelers do a weird spell and take some of their
blood. (Just another day in Mystic Falls, right?)
The two return home unharmed as Katherine gets closer to dying.
Caroline and Klaus finally hook up!
Meanwhile, the rest
of the gang is looking for Matt, but what Caroline finds is Klaus, (Who
also brought Rebekah with him to save Matt.) who tells her Tyler’s left
New Orleans.
Klaus begs Caroline to reveal her true feelings towards him, and promises to leave and never come back if she does.
Caroline gives in, and the two have a very steamy hook up scene. (It’s about time!)
Meanwhile, after a few visits from Vicki, Alaric,
Jenna, and Tyler, which were all figments of Katherine’s imagination,
she is seemingly ready to die.
Katherine takes over Elena’s body
Elena and Katherine have a heart to heart, and Elena tells her she forgives her for all the heartache she’s brought to her life.
As Elena goes to help Katherine by injecting drugs into her system, Katherine springs up grabs Elena and works her traveler magic. Katherine’s body lies there dead, while her soul is inside Elena.
